When you start writing a blog it can feel like you are talking to yourself at first……until you begin to get some followers.
It then starts to turn more into a conversation that you are having with a few people, then more and more and more.
It can be hard to know how to get your first followers though, and you also need to learn how to keep increasing the views that your blog posts get over time.
I already had an audience that I could share my blog posts with when I started (though I lost some since being away for a few months due to my ill health).
If you have been following my guidance for a while you will know that I highly recommend building an email list (and I will be teaching how to do this from step 1 again later in this blog). If you have an email list already, as I do, then the first way to gain some followers to a new blog is to send an email…..
Thanks to my email list I have been able to start this blog with a regular audience of around 200 visits per day.
If you have no email list then you will need to use a traffic site to help you out.

You can use any of those traffic sites to help you begin building a list of followers for your blog.
This is what happened to my visitor stats when I started using just 1 traffic site to share a couple of my blog posts:
As you can see there was a large jump from between 200 – 300 visitors per day, right up to almost 600 views.
My first ad promoting this blog was placed on Timebucks by the way. That links directly to my earn $1 a day plan.
I then started to slowly add some blog posts to Hungry for Hits.
I work calmly and deliberately on traffic generation, and I allow my blog to take care of everything else.
I have now added some ads to Infinity Traffic Boost too.
Here are my blog traffic stats on 21st Sept:
Just by adding my blog posts to Timebucks, Hungry for Hits and Infinity Traffic Boost I am now getting a daily rate of around 1500 views per day.
In addition I am getting new comments added most days and I am seeing new names in those comments too.
In other words…… my blog is generating a lot of interest and bringing new people towards me.
I have only just started working on traffic (using 2 different traffic sites and an ad on Timebucks) and my blog is already taking off.
As a result I am getting more views, people reading my blog posts, leaving comments and most importantly I am getting new referrals on several sites almost every day too.
Do you see how my system is growing already?
